and spam collection techniques to identify spam messages
and trap them before they arrive in your mailbox.
SpamTrap sits between you and your ISP. This means
that every time you download your email it is processed
by our spam collection and fingerprint comparison system.
How do we know what is spam? Every time you download
your email it passes through our system which contains
a database of millions of spam message fingerprints.
We collect these spam fingerprints using a wide network
of Spam Traps and other proprietary techniques. Each
message in your incoming mail stream is also fingerprinted
and then checked against the spam fingerprints in our
system. If we find a match, it is declared spam and
removed before it arrives in your mailbox. You can
view your spam online if you wish as your spam is kept
on our servers for 30 days.
This technique not only protects the privacy of your
email but also minimises the chance of blocking legitimate
